Goal of this blog: to sketch out ideas on how to build products well, which products should be built, what product management and project management techniques work (in a non-boring way), what works and doesn’t work well in people’s interactions with systems particularly in some areas that interest me (e.g. security, speech recognition, virtual worlds, public education, business school).
Who I am: Bruce Barnhart, living on the edge of Silicon Valley. I gulp the Koolaid with my morning coffee, then try the rest of the day to remember that the rest of the world hasn't drunk it. As will become clear, I believe technology should serve people, not the other way around. But at the same time, sometimes technologies come along that empower us in ways we might not have dreamt of.
